Career assessments and counseling are available for individuals interested in starting a new career, making a career transition, developing a small business, continuing your education, or returning to the workforce. Careers should be a positive reflection of one's interests, values, and skills. Prior to checking out the job market, individuals must take a close personal inventory of their interests and what motivates them and reflect on what skills they have to offer and contribute to others.

Resume and cover letter critiques are available to individuals seeking to target their materials to a specific industry or career field. Job seekers can avoid letting a poor resume keep them from obtaining a fulfilling and rewarding job of their dreams.

Assistance is also available for individuals seeking help with interviewing skills and learning how to best present themselves to employers. Upon contacting Career Choice individuals will gain assistance in self-assessment, career planning, career advancement, coping with transition, skill development, starting a business, and continuing their education. Meeting individual personal needs will be the focus of each session with the ultimate goal of creating a more satisfying career and balanced lifestyle. Career and life skills will be worked on simultaneously to achieve the measured results clients seek. Our approach is geared toward helping clients set realistic objectives and achieve balance in their career and personal life goals.

Clients who prefer the privacy and informality of discussing career issues in the security of their own home, office, hotel or dorm room are able to take advantage of distance counseling methods and techniques. One of the advantages of distance counseling is clients never have to take time out of their busy schedule to travel to a counseling appointment.

Distance Counseling is a unique counseling approach utilizing technology email communication, telecounseling (phone), chat, and videoconferencing in any or all combination in order to best meet client needs. Distance Counseling combines the techniques of traditional counseling with technology assisted methods to reach additional clients who prefer assistance in the privacy of their own home or office setting. The Distance Counseling Credential is new to the counseling profession and currently only a small number of professional counselors have received this credential.

Please understand that these services do not provide a diagnosis or treatment of psychiatric or mental health problems and may not be appropriate for certain types of presenting problems and/or primary issues.
